Job Description

The primary responsibility ofthis role is to ensure our members receive an exceptional service experiencegrounded in Westerra Credit Union’s core values; Excellence, PersonalResponsibility, Integrity, Communication and Cooperation.  The Member Advisor will assist members byprocessing transactions, opening personal and business accounts, entering loanapplications, developing relationships, identifying needs, educating onproducts and services, and cross selling solutions to help members achievefinancial success.  

Essential Functions: 

This position will function and support a variety of rolesincluding but not limited to; teller operations and functions, personal andbusiness accounts, consumer and mortgage loan requests, account maintenancefunctions, opening and closing the branch, and lobby management. 

Identify member needs and opportunities and cross-sellrelated products and services to deepen member relationships. 

Understand all Westerra product and service offerings to beable to speak and refer solutions confidently to our members. 

Meet or exceed member expectationsby providing superior member service, accuracy, education, and collaboration. 

Resolve member related issuesand recommend solutions to best fit their needs. 

Accountable for achieving personal sales and service relatedgoals and objectives. 

Adherence to all Westerra policies and procedures andFederal and State laws and regulations applicable to the credit union. 

Consistently demonstrates the Westerra Way Experience in allmember interactions.  

Qualifications and Experience:

Minimum 1 year financial institution experience in personalbanking and consumer lending required; 6 months cash handling experiencerequired.

1-3 Year(s) consultativesales/service role preferred.

Banking or credit unionexperience preferred.

High SchoolDiploma or GED required. 

Note:This position requires National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registrationunder the terms of the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 and Regulation Z. You will besubject to the required registration process, which includes a criminalbackground and credit check. This registration process takes placepost-employment. Failure to meet or maintain any of the NMLS registrationrequirements, including maintaining a satisfactory criminal and credit report,may result in a rescission of your offer or termination of employment.
